I helped cook dinner with my mother today

August 30th, 2010 by No comments »

For Dinner we first made spaghettie with garlic, and other spices. First we had to cook the noodles, so we put it into boiling water. While we waited for it to cook we chopped up the garlic. Once the timer went off we drained the noodles from the water then put it in a frying pan with all the spices and garlic and cooked it up. Next after that my mother and I started to cook steak outside on the grill together. I merely helped by giving her the utensils. Nothing much! But while she wasn’t having me help her cook on the grill I was cooking inside on the stove Corn, Brocollie or however you spell it and rice to add to the big dinner that we always have. While that finished up cooking my Mom brought in the nicely cooked steaks. So in all for dinner we had Steak, Spiced Spaghettie, Corn, Rice, and Brocollie!

Society’s current Recession

August 26th, 2010 by No comments »

Society’s current Recession to me with everything that is happening is just completely awful!! Due to the beach polluters AKA BP, we’ve had a giant oil disaster on the gulf. It started to spread throughout the water, and endanger all type of animals and fish in that area. It endangered the animals because it polluted the water, and all of the oil is killing the Fish that breath in the water. But it’s killing the helpless birds as well because the oil is sticking to the poor birds! So they can’t fly! It’s a very sad event and it’s purely awful, but society should now understand the consequences to their actions. Thankfully, there’s tons of different goverments helping out to clean up the mess from the oil spill. People are rescueing animals from the oil spill and wash off every single one very carefully to get rid of all the oil on them. It’s a very good thing they’re helping out, and saving the poor defenceless animals.

Southern peninsula tip

August 23rd, 2010 by No comments »

I live at the southern peninsula tip, near the international beach resort centers of tourist attraction called KOVALAM, in Kerala State. The area is a predominantly a coconut tree growth area very naturally.  I live in the out skirts of Trivandrum City, which is blessed with green lush growth of coconut and other tropical broad leaf species. My house is located at about 5 km crow fly distance from sea.  In this tropical region even while hot summer, due to presence of humidity average high temperature is about 36 degree Celsius.  We get an average rain fall of  300mm/year. In this area the population density is very high.   People are highly literate comparing the other part of India, who love migrating for getting employment and earn money and interested in leading very good quality of life. They spend more money in educating their young ones.  Different religions like Hindus, Muslims and Christians live in harmony.  Basic custom is of Hindus.  Very conservative in sex… lovely place.

I woke up at eight thirty and ate breakfest with my cousin who slept over my house and my little sister. All three of us had something we all like, Oh what was it? Eggos of course!  After that I went downstairs and played on the computer for a bit, and tried to help my younger sister get something off one of her favorite websites. After I tried to help her, in which I did, I went outside and played some basketball with my Cousin Madison.  We played one on one for about a half hour but I let her win, just so she could laugh and brag about her winning. Just to see her happy is why I did it. After that we continued to play outside, doing activities like Softball, Swimming, Races, and stuff. When I went inside I helped my Mother cook dinner. After helping her and eating, I rubbed my father’s feet….although it was fairly icky…..I think after I helped my Father I took a shower and got into my pjs and layed down in my nice warm bed. Next I took out my laptop and started playing on it and I’m watching Disney Channel before I go to sleep.

Today I do not have much engagement in the City

No need of local traveling, so to feel calm inside I select to wear the local dress.  Cotton ‘dhoti’ and cotton slack shirt.  Here in this tropical region you feel cool with light dressings. Traditional dress is white dhoti and shirt. Dress must suit the tradition, environment, climate and occasion of wearing it.  Dhoti is a piece of cloth, tied at the waist and hung loose at the legs which is mostly white in color and covers with loose ends up to ankles.  In this Southern part of India the Dravidian style of Costumes dominate. It is hassle free to wear and easy to maintain and allow complete freedom of movement. The changing life styles and occupational demands generally we opt to wear trousers, jeans, shirts etc.  So it is a jolly free day and I wear dhoti and cotton shirt and feel free and at home.

Love

August 13th, 2010 by No comments »

The love from family members, fiends and relatives (and even from old girl friends).  I know LOVE itself is a relative term.  Theories say that to get love you have to give love.  Scriptures advocates that the love has to be given without selfish deeds.  That is when you love some one just love and don’t expect back anything from them. It is all good in theory and spiritual level.  The pain from not getting the love is something which makes you mad. I am getting relaxed from the pain that  it is all very relative, because the love today you feel towards some one will turn to be hatred tomorrow and vice versa. Now my inner mind says the way I feel love is not the real love, it is only manipulation of selfish of my physical embodiment.  Let the argument take its own course, the reality is the life without getting the love in return is like a desert without trees, no greenery in it. No life init and is vacuum.

My family means a lot to me

August 9th, 2010 by No comments »

May be it is during my retired period I feel it so dear that any small separation from them hurt me seriously.  Sometimes other members are busy and the engagements of day to day life make them away from me, which disturbs me with the feeling of   avidness. I occasionally feel that all the matters are not discussed with me and they try to avoid me, irrespective of my hard work to earn through out my life to earn for their happiness.  These I know is lead by selfish feelings, but irritate me occasionally.  During my service days, I was away from family and even could not attend many of the important family functions.  I feel now whether the guilty consciousness is making me attach deeply with the family members even very sensitively.  The inter relationship of each member I watch very carefully to observe that each and every member is keeping the relation with due respect and intimacy.  This eagerness sometimes causes friction in my feelings as if everything is in my control.

Learn bicycle riding

Bicycle Race

Learn bicycle riding was one of the greatest wishes during the childhood.  I watched the riding of bicycle by elder boys in the street with great enthusiasm. Then I thought it was one of the most enchanting technique by which one can go from one place to another without walking. Just roll on wheels to anywhere as you liked and it was like flying of the bird freely in the air. My request for learning the bicycling was finally agreed by my father and has engaged one of my cousin brother to teach me.  I was little bit fat on those days.  I found it very difficult to climb up the cycle and balancing without falling down. We did not own a bicycle, hence were to hire one from the nearest bicycle shop. Somehow with the help of my cousin brother I managed to balance with great effort. One day evening after school my ‘bicycle teacher’ the cousin brother left his cycle   at our door step without locking. I was thrilled to ride alone, got hold of the cycle and climbed on it. I tried to give side to a car coming on the opposite direction, which threw me off into a bid ditch.  When I was conscious I was in bed in hospital with heaviness of plastered broken leg and hand. The sad thing is this has delayed my independent bicycle riding for another two years.

Fun enjoyment

August 3rd, 2010 by No comments »

Fun enjoyment is a state of mind that the fun once enjoyed may bore you at another time. As a grand father I enjoy the fun to the most which enchants my grand daughter and grand son.  We have a recent arrival for fun, a pet dog, a German Sheppard young dog.  It is having beautiful golden hair, making it very attractive.  At the very sight of the dog we have named it as ‘Beauty’.  We enjoy by making this to play.  Usually a plastic ball is thrown to it or some small piece of wood. It begins to roll the ball or the wood piece and starts barking, if disturbed by children for fun starts barking.  This play continues until the dog is tired.  We also try to make her obey with some small words of command like sit, jump, take the wood etc. When it start obeying my grand children try to push more hard words like come with me, jump on the chair etc, which makes Beauty restless and begin to bark as if the word of command of more words are not like by it.

July 30th, 2010 by No comments »

I am currently working in one National wise approved calibration lab. Here all type instruments are calibrating by Calibration Engineers. The calibrating instruments are like Vernier, Weighing scales, all type gauges, Thermometer, Temperature controller, Micrometer, Electrical Instrument etc.. In comparing India level we are only having  the National Accelerated for all type of gauges and oftenely used intruments like Micrometer, Weighing scales and all. After calibrating the instrument we are submit the approved NABL report for that instrument.
