I was always the type who would look around in pet stores at the clothes and fun items, but never imagined that I would one day be in the market for large breed dog clothes for my own dog. Lucy was diagnosed with cancer and as a result, she has to wear clothing to protect her surgical wounds from anything that can hurt her. My family stays upbeat and we have fun dressing Lucy in different clothes every day.  Sometimes she is rooting for the local sports team, other times she is showing off her patriotism. Sure, we get some looks, but when we share the story, it makes everyone smile. Even when she is given a clean bill of health, she’ll still have to put up with us dressing her every day.
