I do enjoy on every weekend in my ways and the last weekend was not any exception. Away from the busy city traffic and pollution, a visit to the countryside along with selected friends is a perfect to me. Last weekend I did the same and picked three of my best friends Hari, Ravi and Tushar and travelled 60 Kms from Kolkata, a small town named Diamond Harbor which is by the bank of river Ganga near to the Bay of Bengal. We had fishing lines, bottle of scotch whisky and fresh lamb which we cooks usually by preparing a temporary mud made stove. We enjoyed a lot those couple of days with a lot of fishing, as the fishes of fresh as well as sea water is at plenty at this part of the world. With the fading heat of the sun as the summer slowly departs and winter sets in, it was fantastic playing football in the evening too. I did had a memorable weekend, the last one and will go to the place every now and again as I get scope.

MY WEEKEND
October 14th, 2010Brilliantly Outsourced
October 11th, 2010I think NBC’s new show “Outsourced” is such a breath of fresh air. In an era where reality TV dominates the air waves and networks don’t give their viewers much credit, I give the creators of “Outsourced” major kudos. The topic about Indian workers being outsourced for an American company is so out of the box that I think they all deserve an Emmy for even pitching such a show. The writing is superb and the comic timing of its cast has pretty much cemented them as a constant on the prestigious Must See TV line up. Don’t mess this up NBC.

Jon Stewart Was Lame
October 7th, 2010I usually enjoy everything that comes out of Jon Stewart’s mouth but tonight on Larry King he wasn’t being himself. He was actually off and not brilliantly charming at all. I a want my money back. Those two bored me to pieces and actually had me yearning for an individual that I find quite ignorant. Oh where oh where were you tonight Bill O’Reilly? Why couldn’t your Ivy League self be the one doing the interviewing instead of Mr. cackling overalls? I love watching you cringe and dodge every factual point Stewart punches you with. Stewart would never back away from you like the ladies of “The View” did and I know you love that challenge. So do I.
The Fun of Owning a Siberian husky
October 5th, 2010

Years ago, we bred the most beautiful Siberian Huskies. We kept it on a very small scale and only had one gorgeous male, “Flame” a grey long haired beauty. Our female was the beautiful blue-eyed, black and white “Smokey”. These two gave us years of pleasure with their comic antics and sweet personalities. One of our favorite times was grooming them. Flame would get the discount dog grooming supplies and set them down by Smokey, we kept all the grooming supplies in a small suitcase. He would let us brush him some then take the brush from our hand and set it over by Smokey till we started grooming her. If we let it this would go on for hours! They are both gone now and we miss them dearly, but the memories of so many fun times like the grooming will always be there. We were blessed to have them in our life!
