For the Love of Toys

Ropes, rings, squeakers balls and chew dog toys. Dogs are like people, they can get bored if not stimulated or become destructive if they are not adequately entertained as they find their own, frequently inappropriate, ways to burn off energy. There are a wide variety of dog toys available to help counter this canine ennui/hyperactivity, varying in cost both financially and in the amount of time the owner is prepared to invest to interact with the dog. However, while chews can be chewed alone, tug ropes won’t tug themselves and balls can’t yet throw themselves. While they may help an owner to interact with their beloved pet, they mostly still require (at least on some level) some input from the owner!
