I’m not very fond of using rope dog leashes. I have a Japanese spitz and whenever I try to leash it, it shows me this look of disappointment that makes me feel really guilty. I don’t really believe that dogs are capable of such sentiments, but having spent almost 10 years living with my dog has created such a gut feeling in me. So, instead of taking him to public places where he could possibly attack another person if unleashed, I walk him around the farmland behind our community so that he can freely run around without the need for the leash.

One Menu for the Rest of Your Life
August 11th, 2011 by No comments »The three things I could eat every day for the rest of my life would have to be chicken breast, salad, and, although a drink, water. I would choose chicken breast because it is very versatile and can be prepared many ways. It is also not very fatty and fairly nutritious. For obvious reasons, I chose salad as my healthy option. Salad can also be prepared in a variety of ways, and variety would be very important to me if I could only eat these three things and nothing else for the rest of my life. As for water, I believe that is pretty self-explanatory. Not only would I need it to replenish my body, but if I could only choose to drink one beverage for the rest of forever, water is the one drink I would never get tired of.

Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder
August 8th, 2011 by No comments »The most beautiful place I have ever seen would have to be Greer, AZ. I haven’t been to many forests in my life, but when my family took a trip up to northern Arizona, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The open air, fields, trees, and lakes simply took my breath away. Living in the desert really makes you appreciate places like Greer and Payson, AZ. I have never loved seeing the color green as much as I did when I first visited these places after living 5 years with dry, desert scenery. I guess that just goes to show that perspective is everything.
